About the client:
We are working with a large and very successful UK based Fresh Produce business who are looking to appoint a Commercial Manager to manage their upcoming German retail relationship. They have made huge headway in developing strong relationships with customers and now they need someone who head it up and get things started in right way.
About the job:
In the early stages, your role will potentially be multi-faceted. Predominantly you will act as the main commercial point of contact for the business, but you will also be acting as the key person for any in country related requirements. Whether that be logistics and packing related or quality control related. But the opportunity for growth in this role is huge and the right person will recognise that and be striving towards that bigger strategic plan.
The Ideal Candidate:
A strong commercial understanding of the German retailers is important. You will need to have a proven track record of delivering sales growth ideally within the Fresh Produce sector but definitely within a short shelf produce environment. You will need to be fluent in German and English and have the vision to see the bigger opportunity in time. Ideally this role will be based in Germany or Holland, but it could also be based in the UK. If Covid has taught us anything it is that location is less of a factor than it maybe once was.
