Dolls that husk and wow

In Manipur's scenic Senapati hills, 38-year-old florist Nelly Chacheya is turning vegetable trash into tiny treasures. She crafts elegant dolls from discarded corn husks and silk, even styling their hair with corn silk. Each doll is delicately hand-painted and decorated with dried flowers. What began as a humble idea to reuse waste is now an inspiring blend of art and sustainability. Her eco-friendly creations are gaining praise for their charm and detail. Proof that one person's kitchen bin is another's art studio, and that even corn can find a second life on the catwalk.
