Asparagus movement from Mexico via Arizona, California, and Texas is steady. Trading is slow, with prices mostly unchanged for jumbo and lower for others. Jumbo bunched 11-pound cartons range from 28.75 to 30.75 euros, standard mostly 26.75 to 28.75. Washington's production is seasonally decreasing with light supplies and moderate trading. Jumbo 11-pound cartons range mostly from 28.00 to 30.95 euros. Peruvian imports through Southern California are increasing, with higher prices for jumbo and extra-large.
Avocado
Avocado movement from Mexico into Texas is steady. Trading for 84s is slow at slightly higher prices due to lighter supply. Conventional 40-48s are mostly 58.25 to 60.25 euros. California volumes are similar, with fairly slow to slow trading. Prices for conventional 40-48s are mostly 60.25 to 62.25 euros, while organic 48s are around 80.25 to 83.25 euros.
Blueberry
Blueberry movement from Georgia is slowing with the season end approaching. Prices for 12 1-pint flats with lids are mostly 18.00 to 20.00 euros. In California, the movement is increasing. Prices for 12 6-ounce flats are 16.00 to 20.00 euros, while organic pints range from 36.00 to 40.00 euros. Mexico's crossings are decreasing seasonally. Organic 1-pint cups are mostly 34.00 to 38.00 euros. North Carolina prices are slightly lower, at mostly 20.00 to 22.00 euros for large 1-pint flats.
Cucumber
Cucumber movement from Nogales, Arizona, is sharply decreasing, with insufficient supplies to establish a market. In Texas, supplies are down, and trading is active late. Medium 1 1/9-bushel cartons are mostly 12.95 to 14.95 euros. South Georgia supply is steady, with slightly higher prices for medium cucumbers at 15.35 to 16.35 euros. Waxed 24s range from 4.35 to 5.85 euros.
Green Bell Pepper
In South Georgia, the green bell pepper supply is steady but heavy. Trading is slow, and prices are much lower. Jumbo and extra-large 1 1/9-bushel cartons are mostly 10.35 to 12.35 euros. Coachella Valley, California prices are steady, with extra-large at 16.95 to 18.95 euros. Supplies in Central and South Florida are finishing. The San Joaquin Valley harvest begins mid-June.
Tomato
Tomato movement from Mexico via Texas is declining. Vine-ripened 2-layer cartons of 4x4s and 4x5s are mostly 7.37 to 7.95 euros. Otay Mesa crossings are increasing, but prices are much lower, with 2-layer 4x4-4x5s mostly at 10.95 to 11.00 euros. Florida and South Carolina volumes are rising, with loose 25-pound cartons of 5x6 size at 13.00 to 13.35 euros.
