Two separate recalls have been issued for tomatoes due to potential Salmonella contamination, though no illnesses have been reported to date.
Williams Farms Repack LLC is recalling multiple tomato products under the Williams Farms Repack and H&C Farms labels. Affected items include 5x6 and 6x6 25lb boxes, combo 25lb, 4x4 and 4x5 2-layer, 60ct 2-layer, 60ct 18lb loose, XL 18lb loose, and 3ct trays with UPC 0 33383 65504 8. The impacted lot codes are R4467 and R4470. These tomatoes were distributed between April 23 and April 28, 2025, to wholesalers and distributors in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The recall follows notification from Southeast Tomato Distributors that tomatoes supplied from H&C Farms may be contaminated.
Separately, Ray & Mascari Inc. of Indianapolis, Indiana, is recalling 4 Count Vine Ripe Tomatoes packaged in 20 oz plastic clamshells with UPC 7 96553 20062 1. The affected lot numbers are RM250424 15250B and RM250427 15250 B. These products were distributed to Gordon Food Service Stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The recall was initiated after Hanshaw & Capling Farms of Immokalee, Florida, notified Ray & Mascari Inc. of potential Salmonella contamination in the tomatoes they supplied.
Consumers are urged not to consume the recalled tomatoes and should discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
