Agro Care Growers acquires majority stake in Nordic Greens

Agro Care Growers has acquired a majority stake in the Scandinavian leading fruit vegetable grower Nordic Greens. The acquisition is pending approval by the respective competition authorities. Nordic Greens Salat (the salad company that was established in 2022) and part of the cucumber business will continue on a stand-alone basis.

The current shareholder of Nordic Greens, Mads Pedersen, will retain the remaining stake and continue to play an active role in the company's operations, as he will remain CEO of the company.

Agro Care is a Dutch-based tomato growing company with approximately 500 hectares of cultivation area in the Netherlands, France, Morocco and Tunisia. With the acquisition of Nordic Greens, Agro Care expands its presence in the Scandinavian market.

Kees van Veen (CEO Agro Care): "We are thrilled to announce this partnership and pleased to have Mads – with his extensive experience and knowledge of the Scandinavian market – on board as shareholder and CEO. Together we can guarantee year-round product availability and serve our clients even better."
