Biological spider mite controllers automatically introduced into crops

Last week, in the pepper greenhouse of Kwekerij Moors, the biological pest phytoseiulus, among others, was released in the hunt for spider mites. By preventively creating a good biological balance, the growers hope to minimize the use of plant protection products. A special feature is that the biological control agents have been deployed using a technique devised by the in-house technical department. "By mounting a blower on the spray robot, we learn these critters fly, and we don't have to deploy them manually," a video also shows.
