SIA Hawita Baltic, the Latvian subsidiary of the Hawita Group, has officially received RHP Horticulture certification for its substrate raw material peat. The RHP certificate was officially handed over during the IPM fair in Essen, Germany.
RHP-certified peat complies with strict requirements to ensure the highest quality of the substrate raw material. Peat with the RHP quality mark is sourced from regularly inspected peatbogs. There are also strict transportation requirements to minimize contamination risks of the peat. These quality mark requirements provide more security of the quality and plant safety of the substrate raw material, especially in terms of human pathogens, plant diseases, nematodes, weeds and contaminants.
