Australia: new permit issued for pest control

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has issued the following permit that many growers have been waiting for. Claud Warren has managed to get the APVMA to add all formulation types to the permit.

The permit is for Chlorantraniliprole / Cane berries/ Lepidopteran pests including cutworm and Fall armyworm.

The permit covers spray drift restraints, buffer zones for boom sprayers, and a 3-day withholding period based on data from Canadian and USA trials reported by the JMPR.

The APVMA has only issued this permit for 2 years to allow the generation of data and other information that will be required for renewal of the permit, including (1) Data from a minimum of 2 trials conducted in protected grown raspberries; and (2) information on the efficacy and crop safety of the use patterns approved under this permit.

"All efforts have been made to provide the most current, complete, and accurate information on these permits, however, we recommend that you confirm the details of these permits at the following APVMA website: https://portal.apvma.gov.au/permits"
