Completion of greenhouse project in Spain announced

J. Huete Greenhouses has announced the successful completion of one of Europe's largest greenhouse projects to date. Spanning 15 hectares, this Gothic-style greenhouse is dedicated to the sustainable hydroponic cultivation of high-quality tomatoes for Bonnysa.

Located in the region of Murcia, the collaboration between J. Huete Greenhouses' engineering team and Bonnysa has resulted in a facility of good dimensions, featuring six meters of height at the gutter and an impressive 8.80 meters at the ridge.

Features for optimal production
The greenhouse incorporates advanced climate-control systems, including butterfly-type zenithal ventilation and perimeter ventilation, ensuring precise temperature and humidity regulation. The structure is equipped with UV-protected plastic coatings, motorized roll-up doors, energy-efficient screens, and a complete electrical system. The gutters, coated with white lacquer on a Magnelis base, enhance light reflection, increase resistance to corrosion, and improve overall durability.

Additionally, suspended hydroponic cultivation gutters with integrated drainage systems allow for significant savings in water and fertilizers. This approach supports the production of high-quality tomatoes while reducing environmental impact.
