Harmoniz to showcase new tomato and pepper varieties at Fruit Logistica 2025

Harmoniz, a global seed company, will exhibit at the upcoming Fruit Logistica trade fair in Berlin from February 5th to 7th. The company plans to showcase its recently developed tomato and bell-type pepper varieties, along with a new product in a fresh produce category. Harmoniz will also present several initiatives aimed at advancing vegetable cultivation and addressing market demands.

Among the varieties being featured are tomatoes resistant to the Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV), developed to provide consistent supply chain performance throughout the year. Also on display are Bernabel and Bonáyar, two commercial bell-type peppers first introduced in Spain last season and now expanded into European and North American markets. These peppers are part of the company's breeding program focused on developing resilient and high-quality varieties.

Fruit Logistica will also serve as a platform to introduce Harmoniz Select, an initiative that collaborates with growers globally to create new vegetable varieties. Harmoniz Select emphasizes the development of unique flavors, shapes, and textures, offering tailored options for retailers and consumers alike.

In addition to its exhibit, Harmoniz will highlight its recently established high-tech farming facility in the Netherlands. Spanning 1.6 hectares, the facility serves as a hub for research and development, enabling year-round breeding activities. The facility's capabilities include breeding varieties suitable for lighted and unlighted cultivation environments, addressing the changing needs of both growers and consumers.

The Fruit Logistica event provides an opportunity for Harmoniz to present its research, connect with industry stakeholders, and discuss the future of vegetable breeding and cultivation. According to CEO Ofer Ben-Zvi, the company aims to continue fostering collaboration among breeders, producers, retailers, and consumers to address evolving agricultural and market challenges.

Harmoniz will be at Fruit Logistica 2025 Booth C-50, Hall 1.2.
