Japan: JPFA Strawberry Training Course dates announced for 2025

The JPFA Strawberry Training Course will be held onsite on March 4-5, 2025. This experience includes hands-on practical classes, engaging discussions, and a special excursion to strawberry farms. Participants will also receive on-demand pre-learning lectures and materials.

The JPFA Strawberry Training Course will take place on March 4-5, 2025.

The lectures are designed to offer a quick review of essential concepts related to strawberry cultivation, ensuring that all participants are up to speed with the foundational knowledge required. To enhance the learning experience, we are planning to introduce more practical and interactive classes and discussions. These sessions will be led by professionals from both the university and various industries, aiming to foster a better understanding among participants and complement the pre-learning phase. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy visits to the JPFA greenhouses/PFALs, providing a hands-on experience that is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

Pre-learning videos/materials start on February
These resources will provide foundational knowledge about theory and experience-based practices related to strawberries. Participants will learn about the current situation in strawberry cultivation and production in PFALs and explore its future potential.

Duration: On-site lectures/discussions and excursion: March 4-5, 2025
Online pre-learning: Feb. 1-March 3, 2025
Venue: The JPFA site on Chiba University Kashiwanoha campus
Course Fee: JPFA Member: JPY 200,000/person
Non-member: JPY 300,000/person (Approx. 3100 AUD)
