“Our new fan follows the highest energy efficient standard on the market”

Termotecnica Pericoli has recently launched their new EOD fan in Hannover. According to the company's Mauro Pericoli, they wanted a product specifically for energy efficiency, adaptability, and durability. "We also focused on energy cost savings, which is a big concern for greenhouse owners".

Meeting and exceeding energy standards
"The EOD fan is already compliant with ERP 2026 standards," Mauro explains. "This means it follows the highest energy efficiency standard on the market, helping greenhouse owners reduce operating costs while maintaining exceptional performance."

The fan is equipped with an AC three-phase motor that supports multiple power sources, including solar energy. This flexibility allows for sustainable practices to be implemented at any time.

Durability for harsh environments
The greenhouse environment, notorious for its high humidity and temperature variations, needs equipment that can endure these conditions. The EOD fan meets these requirements with a body constructed from high-quality galvanized steel, offering resistance to corrosion. "The propeller is made of plastic," Mauro adds, "achieving a lightweight yet long-lasting product."

The ability to be tailored to specific needs
Greenhouses come in various sizes, each with unique airflow requirements. Mauro elaborates, "To address this, the EOD fan offers adjustable speed controlled by a variable frequency inverter. This feature ensures optimal performance for a range of greenhouse sizes and configurations. Currently available in a 53-inch size, the company is developing additional sizes to expand its versatility," she adds.

The fan's modular design is another facet contributing to adaptability. "A single machine body, with specific accessories, can transform into a cone exhaust fan, a traditional exhaust fan, or an air circulator," says Mauro. This modularity means the fan is a cost-effective choice for growers seeking multi-functional equipment.

Air exchange and climate control
It is important to maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels for successful cultivation. Mauro notes that this category is one of the fan's highlights. "As an exhaust fan, it ensures efficient air exchange, helping regulate temperature and humidity," she notes. When paired with a pad cooling system, the fan creates an ideal microclimate for plant growth. It can also function as an air circulation fan, ensuring temperature uniformity and cooling during the hotter seasons.

Easy installation and maintenance
Retrofitting existing greenhouses often brings challenges, but the EOD fan's universal dimensions help to simplify the process. "It shares the same dimensions as our previous 53-inch models," says Mauro. "This makes it an ideal retrofit solution for existing sheds with old fans, without requiring structural modifications."

The fan is also designed with long-term maintenance in mind. With no belts or lubrication needed and easily accessible components, the EOD requires only routine cleaning and inspections. This reduces downtime and contributes toward cost-effectiveness.

Worker comfort
Noise levels in a greenhouse can significantly impact the working environment. Termotecnica Pericoli ensured that the EOD fan-operated quietly, with a sound pressure level comparable to standard exhaust fans. "Quiet operation is important for maintaining a calm environment for workers," Mauro emphasizes.

Competitive advantage
"Our fan operates efficiently even at high pressures, which means good energy savings," explains Mauro. Additionally, its ERP 2026 compliance gives it a competitive advantage in the market, as some rival models have yet to meet this standard.
