CAN: New pesticide officially registered

Flowers Canada Growers has announced that Pyriofenone 300SC Fungicide (pyriofenone) is now registered, to suppress/control powdery mildew on greenhouse ornamentals, greenhouse pepper, greenhouse eggplant, greenhouse cucumber, and greenhouse tomato.

"Having a new pathology tool available to greenhouse growers is essential to ensuring that Canadian greenhouse-grown ornamental crops continue to remain of the highest quality possible."

FCG would like to extend their thanks to ISK Biosciences, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and the Pest Management Regulatory Agency for supporting FCG in bringing this new fungicide with a novel mode of action to Canada.
