Vietnam grossed nearly US$5.7 billion from fruit and vegetable exports during the past nine months of the year, marking a rise of 33.9% against the same period from last year, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
This represents the highest export value that the Vietnamese fruit and vegetable industry has recorded so far, of which durian is the main product with a turnover exceeding US$2.5 billion.
Most notably, in September alone, fruit and vegetable exports surged by 37.6% to reach US$918 million on-year
Furthermore, export orders to Australia, China, and the Republic of Korea are still rising with nearly 50 tonnes of fresh coconuts being officially shipped to China recently.
