As part of its philosophy of constant commitment to R&D&I, Grupo Agroponiente, has joined Coexphal's Innovation and Technology Committee (CIT COEX), whose initial objective is to identify priority needs in terms of innovation and technology to carry out joint projects that are open to members of the organization.
Antonio Algarra attended the first of the Committee's meetings. Juan Pérez Zamarrón, the director of this area of Coexphal, made a general presentation and highlighted the promotion of innovative culture in the fruit and vegetable sector; the main objective to be achieved through the associated companies.
In addition, during this inaugural session, the heads of CIT COEX presented the most interesting projects that they are already working on. Representatives of the companies that were part of the project expressed their needs and priorities, such as the automation of processes in warehouses, the reduction of packaging typologies, the sharing of data for the analysis of AI, and the regeneration of soils in the field and zero waste.
"The launch of CIT COEX is a great opportunity to endorse and share the companies innovative and constantly evolving culture, within a framework of inter-company cooperation, to make R+D+i a key tool in the corporate philosophy and, in general, in the sector", stated Imanol Almudí, CEO of Grupo Agroponiente.
