In the Elizovsky District of Kamchatka, the "Kamchatka" greenhouse complex geared up for glazing, is set to take place next spring, as announced by Kamchatka Krai Governor Vladimir Solodov.
The greenhouse complex has already emerged from ground zero, with its metallic structure assembled and ready for glazing. Governor Solodov emphasized the decision to avoid installing glass during winter to prevent additional snow load on the structures.
Anticipating its first harvest next year, the Kamchatka complex aims to supply around 3000 tons of vegetables to local supermarkets. This initiative is expected to cover up to 80% of the region's population's vegetable needs, according to the KamchatkaMedia news agency, citing the regional government.
The "Kamchatka" greenhouse complex is a flagship project under the "Greenhouse Regions" Group of Companies, owned by the "REAM Management" investment fund specializing in green technologies. Other greenhouse complexes under the group are situated in the Republic of Komi, Chuvash Republic, and Perm Krai.
