The first water tanks from Genap Mexico were delivered this year, and their new facility is a fact. Genap Mexico offers various types of tanks, covers for different conditions, and soon-to-be-introduced storage ponds made in Mexico.
"Our products reflect our enthusiasm to serve producers with excellent solutions and encompass the numerous dreams and aspirations of many individuals who are committed to preserving something of immense value. Each day, we become increasingly aware of the magnitude of that value. We consider ourselves guardians of every drop of water, as our products are vessels of life," says José Carlos Flores of Genap México.
But why make the move to Mexico? Well, according to José, there are several compelling reasons that justify Genap's presence in Mexico. First and foremost being the significance of technified agriculture for the world's future. "We all recognize the need to enhance overall operational efficiency as the population continues to grow. Additionally, our demand for nutritious food has increased, and we are constantly bombarded with information about the benefits of different fruits and vegetables."
José mentions that Mexico and Latin America are following the trend of efficiency and professionalization in agribusiness, as the world has higher expectations in terms of quality. "Providing top-quality products has become a priority for producers, growers, and marketers, as we understand that successful market penetration is only possible by doing things right. Mexico, along with Brazil, have long set the tone for how Latin America will operate in the coming years. Mexican entrepreneurs often lead the way in Latin America, and this situation is no different. Genap Mexico aims to fulfill the hunger, as previously mentioned, of Latin America to do things right and share our outstanding products with the world."
And lastly, nearshoring. With the United States being one of the largest consumers and producers of fruits and vegetables right next door, Mexico makes for a great location.
"While the U.S. tends to be more nationalistic and prefers "Made in the USA" products, many industries, such as the automotive sector, have successfully enchanted the U.S. market. There is no reason why Dutch-Mexicans cannot achieve the same level of success with our remarkable products," says José.
First steps in the Mexican market
Previously, producers had to wait for the products from Europe to arrive in Mexico and deal with customs, costs, and unexpected logistics times. Now, with the new facility in Mexico, Genap can quickly respond to their customer's requirements, and they have total control over product quality.
"The market has received Genap Mexico with great enthusiasm, especially because the Dutch sales team, led by Simon Jones, has established incredible connections in Mexico for many years. People there understand the significance of having a Genap solutions closer to home and with faster delivery times. We have received positive reactions, and our customers have been very patient with the challenges of setting up a factory from scratch. We feel solidly supported and motivated," says José.
"I know that Genap's products and team have the potential to capture a significant portion of the market. However, our objective goes beyond market share; it is about making the quality and service of the Genap family easily accessible, which we can now do from even closer with local support. We inject passion into everything we do every day, and while this may not be quantifiable, it is the essence of our work," José concludes.
