"Currently, everyone is aware of the increase in the cost of energy that has been taking place for some years, which adds a dose of difficulty when it comes to obtaining the expected profitability in greenhouse crops. In response to these needs, and following our usual R&D policy, we at Viale Sistemi Drive Systems have developed two new lines of gear motors for operating windows and screens in greenhouses: the PRP series and the VA32 series," says Massimo Digitali from Viale Sistemi.
The two new series of products come to expand the company's wide range of geared motors, following the new standards of current agriculture.
PRP Series gear motors
The PRP Series consists of gear motors intended for use in rolling-type windows (models with 6rpm on the output shafts), as well as rack & pinion windows, and both rooftop and side vents of small and medium lengths greenhouses (models with 3rpm on the output shafts). The design of these new gear motors allows the use of the same standard protection casing as the current PR series. It should be noted that this new gear motor can be fastened on 2 of its faces, depending on its use. The same type of fastening as in the current PR models has been maintained so that, if needed, one can be replaced without problems.
VA32 Series gear motor
The VA32 Series are gear motors intended for use in windows operated by rack & pinions, both rooftop and side vents, of medium and long lengths (models with 3rpm on the output shafts). The same type of fastening as in the current DVE model has been maintained so that if needed, one can be replaced without problems
The main features of the new PRP and VA32 series are:
- New design with lightened aluminum casing manufactured by die casting.
- Improved exterior finish with a very compact design.
- Same capacity as current PREA/PREVO and DVE models, but with lower energy consumption.
- The same type of fastening as the current models PREA/PREVO and DVE to be able to fix the gear motor to the greenhouse structure.
- Following the company's usual line of quality and finish, they are supplied with stainless steel output shafts.
Greentech Amsterdam 2023
