Biological control meeting to take place in Brest

The 2023 IOBC (International Organization of Biological Control) Meeting will take place in Brest, France, from August 27th to 31st.

During this one-week event, 200 scientists and experts in integrated pest management in protected crops will come together to discuss the latest innovations and scientific breakthroughs from theory to practice. The meeting aims to foster knowledge exchange among experts from Mediterranean and temperate climates and will provide an opportunity to visit horticulture and vegetable greenhouses in one of France's major greenhouse production areas where biocontrol is the primary pest control strategy.

This conference is organized by a committee comprising members of the two European working groups (Mediterranean and Temperate), researchers, and professionals from the sector who are actively engaged in integrated biological control. The event is coordinated by two French institutes specializing in applied research on crops, ASTREDHOR (French Institute for plant professionals) and CTIFL (Interprofessional Technical Center for Fruit and Vegetables).
