Greenhouse strawberries aren't just tasty. They're also healthy. And what is even more healthy than just eating them is running through the greenhouse they're grown in. The team with German greenhouse grower Wittenberg Gemüse GmbH thinks so and welcomes everyone to the first edition of the Wittenberger Erdbeerlauf (Wittenberger Strawberry Run), organized on April 1st. "This will be delicious," the organizers say.
"The run, which will take you through our greenhouses, offers three different course lengths for every fitness level: 3 km, 6 km, or 9 km. No matter whether you are a beginner or a professional, every runner is welcome", Wittenberg Gemüse announces. "Get your calendar and get your sports gear ready!"
Wittenberg Gemüse is located in Lutherstadt Wittenberg (Germany) and specializes in the cultivation of fresh fruits and vegetables, including peppers and tomatoes. They started growing strawberries in 2019 and expanded last year with another 8,9 hectare.
