Staay Food Group's central theme: own cultivation

Red Conference, Salatrio at Fruit Attraction 2022

The Staay Food Group will again be exhibiting at Fruit Attraction in Madrid, Spain, from October 4-6. They will give visitors an impression of their central theme - own cultivation -  on two television screens. Visitors can also get extensive information about the group's hydroponically grown lettuce varieties. Plus, this Dutch company will introduce the Red Conference pear.

This is the first time this pear will be displayed to the general public. Red Conference, the first year-round available red pear, has been an exclusive club variety of the Staay Food Group and the Belgian Fruit Auction BFV since 2018. In recent years, Staay has invested heavily in building up acreage, which has led to the first commercial harvests.

Alongside the Red Conference, the Staay Food Group will introduce its indoor gutter-grown Salatro and Butterhead lettuce varieties too. These hydroponic lettuces are attracting increasing interest because of factors like their reliable supply and, thanks to their root balls, their substantial contribution to reduced losses and food waste.

And lastly, the important Staay products, melons, tomatoes, and leafy greens, will be highlighted. The group cultivates these on its farms in Costa Rica, the Netherlands, and Spain (Tarragona).

The Staay Group will be one of the many Dutch exhibitors to form part of the Holland Fresh Group pavilion. Visitors can find this large30m2 exhibit in Hall 10, stand E05.
