According to data prepared by Hortoinfo from the Observatory of Prices and Markets of the Junta de Andalucia, in the 2021/22 campaign, Andalusian eggplant producers were paid an average of 0.64 euro per kilogram of eggplants, which is the highest average price of the last five campaigns.

More specifically, producers were paid an average price of 0.63 euro per kilogram of black eggplants, 10.53% higher than the 0.57 euro/kg they were paid in the previous year.

Farmers were paid an average of 0.73 euro per kilogram of striped eggplants, 3.95% less than the average of the 2020/21 campaign and 5.19% less than in the previous campaign.
