Over the past month, a steadily growing trend has been observed in the dynamics of wholesale prices for smooth short cucumbers in Uzbekistan, prices have increased by 2.3 times. Moreover, current wholesale prices are 1.8 times higher than last year’s levels.
Since the beginning of the summer of this year, the minimum wholesale prices for smooth short cucumber in Uzbekistan were recorded on July 22, 2022, at the level of 2,500 sum/kg ($0.23), and the average wholesale price was 3,000 sum/kg ($0.28).
A steady upward trend has formed since then. For the period from July 22 to August 26, 2022, the average wholesale prices increased from 3,000 to 7,000 sum/kg (from $0.28 to $0.64), i.e., in a little more than one month – 2.3 times.
