"Choosing a suitable drive scheme is crucial for greenhouses, which can avoid many unnecessary losses. Lockdrives has 178 years of experience in manufacturing greenhouse drives and has rich projects with customers domestically and abroad. Haoyu Group is one of the large modern facility agricultural parks in China. Our cooperation with Haoyu Group started in 2020. Their tomato greenhouse adopted our EWA drive solution. There are many options in the market but the quality of our product is excellent. That's why Haoyu finally chose us," said Manager Shi, Head of Lockdrives China.
"Building a greenhouse requires the concerted efforts from greenhouse designers, builders, growers, operators, etc., and this needs a lot of communication and negotiation. With professional strength, Lockdrives has provided a lot of suggestions. All efforts are only for constructing a more efficient and practical greenhouse."
"Compared with other products on the market, our products are not the cheapest. But our products have a very long lifespan. A motor we have installed and used 1963 is still running today, and it has been 59 years since then. High-quality products can help growers avoid frequent maintenance or renewal. In the long run, choosing our products is profitable, although the initial investment is higher compared to cheepest solutions. Many growers see this and they believe in us. Some of our customers had to spend a lot of time dealing with oil leakage because they chose inferior motors. After experiencing this, they become our customers.”
"Other typical quality problems are: a limit overload is caused by the inferior spring paddle limit switch, the motor is burned due to the wrong wiring, the head of the bearing does not match and fails to meet the standard and many more. Short product life is a common problem encountered by greenhouse owners. Lockdrives has continuously innovated in product design and has solved these problems perfectly. Our EWA drives can install motors at any angle, and each installation position faces upwards with bleed holes. Each motor is equipped with replacement air release bolts and instructions, which is convenient for customers to operate. Our motors are pre-wired before leaving the factory, which not only saves time for on-site installation but also avoids motor burnout caused by wiring errors. The high-precision limit switch has the mechanical gear and adopts the groove drop switch design. The maximum stroke can reach 580 circles, which can effectively solve the problem of limit overload. It is worth mentioning that the Lock motor can reach the limit of the torque reported on the nameplate during the lifetime of use because we only marked the minimum value on the motor. We can actually do a lot higher than that, which is different from other manufacturers,” explained Manager Shi.
"We noticed that most products on the market currently lack the self-locking function. Our twin-turbo worm is designed with a self-locking function. For example, during the debugging process, it can avoid the sudden closing of the window and guarantee safety. Of course, this feature is not needed for all scenarios. For different scenarios, we always have corresponding solutions.”
"German is known for their preciseness. Lockdrives' products have inherited the spirit of German craftsmen and apply strict quality control. I know that many international companies have built factories in China or in other Asian countries, which reduces costs. But the quality is not good. It must be guaranteed. Lockdrives' products are 100% made in Germany, and we have no intention to do local production at the moment because we are worried that it may not achieve the quality that we expect, which is not good for us and our customers. Although the factory is as far away as in Germany, we still guarantee a very flexible and fast delivery. We can even deliver within 48 hours upon the customer placing the order, except for very large order quantities,” explained Ralf Steves, Head of Lockdrives Horticulture, Germany.
