Seipasa will invest 4 million euros in the new facilities of its industrial complex in L’Alcúdia

Seipasa, a Spanish company specializing in the development, formulation, and manufacture of bioinsecticides, biofungicides, biostimulants, and fertilizers, has started construction work on the new building within its industrial complex in L’Alcúdia, Valencia. The company has announced it will invest 4 million euros to equip itself with the facilities and technology necessary to market its new product line.

This new building, located where Ronda de Europa Avenue and Gutiérrez Mellado Street meet, within the La Creu de L'Alcúdia industrial estate, will also house the company's new headquarters.

The installation will grant Seipasa an additional 4,400 m². 2,900 m² will be allocated to the new production plant, and the remaining 1,500 m² will be reserved for workspaces.

The new building will be equipped with the most advanced technology. It will be fully sustainable in the use of materials and efficient in energy consumption. Construction work has just started, and the company expects it'll be completed during the first quarter of 2023.

New product line under the Natural Technology model
The CEO of Seipasa, Pedro Peleato, said that the start of the construction works represents the first step for the launch to the market of their new product line.

"For years, our R&D department has been researching the formulation and development of a new product line that is positioned as a real and effective alternative to the synthetic herbicides that currently exist on the market. We at Seipasa have worked to find the balance between all the pieces on the board, from technology to costs through regulation, so that this alternative is a reality in the hands of farmers," said Peleato.

In the short and medium-term, 40% of the available active substances currently available in the EU will potentially disappear, the CEO of Seipasa stated. "According to estimates, 2 out of 3 conventional phytosanitary substances may no longer exist. This scenario forces companies to put all their talent and innovation in the development of these new alternatives hand in hand with biocontrol and, in the specific case of Seipasa, based on our Natural Technology model."

This will be the third major expansion carried out by the company in the last 3 years in its industrial complex to strengthen its innovative, productive, and operational capacity after the expansions carried out in 2018 and 2021.
