According to Jinxing Li, the director of the Rural and Agriculture Bureau of Jingtai County, the Baiyin Haisheng Smart Greenhouse Industrial Park is a key project that attracts investment in Jingtai County, covering a total area of 500 mu (202.4 hectares), with a total investment of 703 million yuan.
It plans to build a modern smart greenhouse with an area of 230,000 square meters in two phases. The first phase plans to invest 430 million yuan to construct steel-structured greenhouses covering an area of 120,000 square meters, storage for agricultural products, logistics warehouses, sorting packaging warehouses, cold storage, etc. The second phase plans to invest 300 million yuan and build steel-structured greenhouses covering an area of 110,000 square meters.
After completing the industrial park, the annual output of agricultural products will reach 6,000-8,000 tons, and the annual value will reach 150 million yuan with a profit of 56 million yuan. The tax paid by the park will increase by 3 million yuan annually, and it will create 300 jobs.
Jingde Zhang, the production manager in the park, said that the project uses the world's most advanced smart glass greenhouse technology such as soilless cultivation, intelligent environment control, Internet of Things, nutrient solution configuration, green prevention and control of pests and diseases, and long-season supply to produce vine tomatoes that meet the needs of high-end markets. All products are sold to the southern market, and the supply exceeds demand.
