Jingdong Plant Factory is located in Beijing International Seed Industry Science and Technology Park, and it is jointly built by Jingdong Fresh and Mitsubishi Chemical from Japan. It covers an area of 11,040 square meters and is currently the largest plant factory combining sunlight and artificial light in China.
In the white, transparent, and sterile plant factory, the plants are lying on the whiteboards, and the vegetables are neat and orderly. The plant factory uses hydroponic methods, and it cultivates seedlings with the container-like devices, then transplants the seedlings into plastic greenhouses, and then cultivates them hydroponically through artificial sunlight and nutrient solutions. Through manual intervention technology, the temperature, humidity, and light, in the plant factory can be maintained in the most suitable state for the growing of vegetables all year round.
