Ambassador Reinke joined Podgorica Mayor Ivan Vuković on a visit to the Urbana bašta Podgorica, which is managed by the Municipality of Podgorica in cooperation with the NGO Paradigma.
One of the six greenhouses constructed throughout Montenegro as part of Paradigma’s #NovaMoba initiative is located in this new community garden. The United States supports the #NovaMoba project, as part of various initiatives backed by the Embassy to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. #NovaMoba delivered 140 green towers to low-income families in municipalities across Montenegro, in addition to six greenhouses, which are located in Bar, Mojkovac, Berane, Pljevlja, Herceg Novi, and now, in Podgorica, and which provide food to some of the most vulnerable populations in those municipalities.
