New field crop specialists join OMAFRA

Two new Field Crop Specialists have joined OMAFRA; Sophie Krolikowski, Cereal Crop Specialist, based out of Stratford, and Laura Scott, Cropping System Specialist, based out of Kemptville.

Sophie Krolikowski  will be working with the Ontario Cereal sector to build on the good work underway. Sophie has over 5 years experience as Entomology Lab Technician with Agriculture Agri-Food Canada in London, Ontario. Sophie has a Masters of Environment and Sustainability from Western University. She has strong attributes in plant-insect interactions and insect toxicology.

Laura Scott brings relevant experience from working as a field crop agronomist with Harvex Agromart in Eastern Ontario for the past 3 years and she is a Certified Crop Advisor. Prior to her industry contributions, Laura completed a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph, in the Food, Agriculture, and Resource Economics Department (FARE). Laura has strong leadership skills from volunteering in local agriculture associations.
