Let there be light: Powering plant production

Photosynthesis is one of the most widespread processes on the planet, and yet it is hugely inefficient. Being unable to move into the sun, plants need all the help they can get to maximize their use of light and convert carbon dioxide into valuable storage products.

With research underway to increase the efficiency of photosynthesis and technologies to ensure optimal use of light, this event is an opportunity to learn more about the spectrum of solutions available to boost crop productivity and quality.

We know plants need light for photosynthesis, from controlled environment agriculture to open-field, but innovations in lighting, glass technologies, leaf coatings and genetics are helping plants make the most of their light. Here the speakers will explore a range of innovations that are enabling manipulation of plant performance through light technologies.
