Herbex, the Spanish company that produces and markets fresh aromatic herbs, has acquired a majority stake in the Italian company Magnani from its founding family, which will continue to manage the business.
Magnani is a benchmark in the Italian market for fresh aromatic herbs with sales of over 9 million euro. In recent years, the company has recorded sustained double-digit annual growth. It has 2,000 m² packaging logistics facilities in northern Italy (Reggio Emilia), where a team of 80 people works.
This acquisition, which has been financed by the shareholders of Herbex, Nazca Capital, and Jame Visquert, founder of Herbex, will allow the Spanish group to generate annual revenues of over 60 million euro and to consolidate its presence in the Italian market.
This is the first acquisition carried out by Herbex within the framework of its plan to grow in the European market and achieve revenues of 80 million euro in three years, based on its organic development and its acquisitions of other European operators with solid margins and positions in their markets.
