Since January 19, Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service of Russia for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) has allowed three Turkmen enterprises to import tomatoes to Russia. Two enterprises in the Akhal Region and one in the Dashoguz Region will be able to export tomatoes. The decision was made, based on the results of the phytosanitary monitoring of enterprises growing tomatoes on the territory of Turkmenistan.
It should be noted that earlier Rosselkhoznadzor imposed some restrictions on tomatoes and peppers import for phytosanitary reasons from certain countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Since December 10, 2021, 88 enterprises of Turkmenistan received permission to supply tomatoes and peppers.
