Another greenhouse complex will appear in the Bobrov district of the Voronezh region, Russia. It is to become the fourth phase of the greenhouse complex Voronezhsky constructed by the company.
Mr. Rudakov has announced that the overall cost of the complex has exceeded 263 million euros. The first phase of the complex has been launched and is operational. Cucumbers will be planted in January 2022 in the production area of the second phase. The third phase should be launched in September 2022. The investments in the fourth phase should amount to 177 million euros. The construction terms have not been determined yet. The new complex should increase the production acreage of the company in the region from 60 to 100 ha. According to the assessment of the holding, after that the complex can become “the biggest in Europe”, noted the Voronezh government press service.
According to Eco-kultura's own data, the first phase of the greenhouse complex in Bobrov district occupies an acreage of 20.5 ha, the production capacity amounting to 12.8 thousand tons of vegetables per year. The acreage of the second one amounts to 33.88 ha and the production capacity reaches 21.5 thousand tons, the construction cost is evaluated at 119 million euros. The third phase should cover 6.1 ha of greenhouses with a production capacity of 4.1 thousand tons per year. The number of investments should reach 37.8 million euros. Together, the three phases would cover 60.5 ha.
In the press conference that took place in the middle of December 2021, Mr. Rudakov shared that the company is currently carrying over eight investment projects, in particular finishing the winter greenhouse complexes in Moscow, Tula, Voronezh, and Leningrad regions. Further, in accordance with its strategy, the company will continue constructing greenhouses with film coating as they require less capital investments and show quicker return on investment.
