Dutch strawberry grower gets energy from heat network

In March, Royal Berry reduced CO2 at the Royal Berry Group. The heat transition took place at the beginning of December. This means that the Royal Berry Group is now connected to the NextGarden heat network.

NextGarden is working on a 100%  energy-neutral horticultural area.
The current connection to the heat network with CO2 coupling contributes to this. The company works with a mix of solar energy, energy storage, and the use of the biomass power plant.

The biomass plant is fired with pruning and waste wood from the region. With the connection to this network and its own solar panels, Royal Berry is well on its way at the various locations to achieve the goal of 100%  energy-neutral cultivation.
