An exceptional greenhouse garden will settle on the Huangpu riverbank in Shanghai

Everybody looks forward to the opening of the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Park, which is the largest riverside garden in Shanghai with a surface area of more than 2 million square meters. The north section of the park will open for public at the end of the month. The 'Gold C' section in the park includes a greenhouse that consists of four connected monolithic glass greenhouse rooms. Each room displays a different natural scenery and climate. The roof of the exhibition hall consists of circular windows that provide the plants with as much sunlight as possible.

The greenhouse covers an area of around 20-30 thousand square meters and the volume is around 340 thousand cubic meters. There are five glass rooms including one large entrance hall and four themed rooms. All four themed rooms have semi-elevated designs with a space between the ground and the greenhouse gardens.

The greenhouse features a wide variety of garden plants and diverse floral groups. At the same time, the greenhouse will also host specialized flower shows such as the 'China-Chelsea flower show'.

Construction work on the greenhouse garden began in June, 2020. When the construction is completed, the greenhouse garden will be the main entrance, exit, and gathering point for the World Expo visitors. Construction is expected to finish in 2022.
