New farming techniques in Cambodian greenhouse a success

Kratie’s farmers saw a great crop yield due to their application of greenhouse farming techniques. They successfully cultivated cauliflowers and cabbages in their greenhouses in a bid to increase crop yield and improve the quality of their crops. Farmers praised the benefits of greenhouse farming such as the reduced use of fertilizers, the ability to grow crops without regard of the season, and the ease of growing crops.

A resident of Phsot Krom Village in Kratie, Ho Pros, told the National Radie of Cambodia that the provincial department of Agriculture provided materials for building greenhouses and training to local farmers. According to Pros, he has been growing his cauliflowers and cabbages in the greenhouses for the past 3 years with great success.

He continued that due to the high quality and success of his crops, he was able to get a good profit from them. Due to the large net profit he earned, Pros stated, he was able to expand his greenhouse.
