Brexit minister Lord Frost:

‘British renaissance has begun’ despite shortages troubling UK

Brexit minister Lord Frost has declared that the ‘British Renaissance has begun’ as the UK struggles with staffing issues linked to the departure from the European Union. At Monday’s Tory party conference, he stated that the ‘long bad dream’ of EU membership is over. He also challenged Brussels to be more ‘ambitious’ to solve separate issues over Northern Ireland.

The Conservative peer’s speech came as the UK continues to feel the effects of a fuel crisis and faces the prospect of shortages in the run up to Christmas, due to a lack of HGV drivers. reported that Boris Johnson appeared to admit that the issues are part of a “period of adjustment” after the departure from the EU.
