New GreenPower LED production module launched

Signify introduces the next edition of the Philips GreenPower LED production module. The new range caters for more flexibility in research applications with its improved research modules and allows for even more color and light intensity controllability when adding a GrowWise control system. The enhanced flexibility to change the dynamic light recipes, the shift to another crop, or the light treatment to enhance color or vitamin levels, increases its applications further.
The production module's increased efficiency and continued robust design, high light output, and long lifetime help growers to keep their operational costs low. The GreenPower LED production module also provides consistent production with an optimal light uniformity - day after day at an efficacy up to 3.3 µmol/J.

The Philips GreenPower LED production module is used for multilayer cultivation and provides a high light output to maximize yield and quality for a variety of crops. Now, with its addition of the 280 µmol/s grow light with a standard beam, also light-loving crops, like strawberries, can be grown indoors.

The standard on-off modules come with Signify's well-known light recipes. Once connected to the GrowWise control system, the customer can control the modules and adjust color and light levels, whether installing it right from the start or when changing the facility's opportunities when running the farm for a while. Adding a GrowWise control system increases the levels of automation and reduces manual labor and operational costs by automating the lighting planning for the crop's full growth cycle, up to one year ahead. The software tool brings dynamic lighting to vertical farms and fits seamlessly with modern climate computers. This enables growers to automatically adjust light levels to maintain consistent levels and simulate sunrise and sunset throughout the day or season.
