Lettuce data set from Autonomous Greenhouse Challenge kick-off now online

This summer the third edition of the Autonomous Greenhouse Challenge kicked off with an Online Challenge. The autonomous cultivation of lettuce was the central theme this time. A dataset with images of lettuce used by the participating teams in this online preview is now available for download.

One of the images from the extensive dataset, which can be downloaded here.

Later this year, a Hackathon will take place in November, after which, from February to June 2022, the selected teams can really let loose with their techniques and strategies in the lettuce greenhouses of the WUR in Bleiswijk.

More about the challenge, in which the organisation would like to 'tell the story behind automation', can be found here in this interview with Silke Hemming of Wageningen University & Research.
