New Growing System has optimized the hydroponic production of strawberries with its new rotational system. This system is characterized by its effectiveness, efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and increased production.
After testing several initial concepts, the leading company in the development and manufacturing of automated recirculating hydroponic growing facilities without substrate decided to use two rotating trays, an upper tray and a lower one, in which it incorporated a solar tracker that tilts the trays depending on the position of the sun in order to optimize the radiation that plants receive. This allows them to achieve notable increases in production per hectare.
In fact, NGS rotational system doubles the production when compared to a traditional hydroponic strawberry system, and increases it by 70-80% when compared to a traditional strawberry crop in soil.
In addition, New Growing System is conducting trials with a robotic system that harvests fruit 24/7, increasing the options for farmers and investors.
In terms of harvesting, the users of rotational NGS-berry highlighted the increase in profitability, the improvement of working conditions, and the optimization of food safety and hygiene.
In the following NGS video, Valentin Sesma explains the advantages of the new NGS rotational system in depth.
New Growing System currently sells its products in Spain, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and the US, and it wants to expand to other countries, such as Korea, Japan, Russia, France, and Australia.
