UK: Hort Science Online to return in October: “Even bigger and better”

Showcasing the latest technical innovations and horticultural practices, ICL’s popular Hort Science Online (HSO) event in the UK is to return this October – even bigger and better than before.

“Now in its fifth year, Hort Science events have become popular with professional growers, advisors, and horticultural students as they provide an opportunity to hear from industry influencers refarding new high-tech product innovations and practices,” explains Adam Ferjani, ICL’s Marketing Communications Manager.  “With HSO we set out to deliver interesting and thought-provoking content on a diverse range of topical subjects.”

HSO 2021 will include a hub on sustainable growing media - focusing on non-peat raw materials, designing mixes, and the results of recent trials work.

The Osmocote GreenLab will feature the official launch of Osmocote 5. Delivering super-efficient and effective nutrient release, ICL’s 5th generation Osmocote products have been designed and developed to overcome the specific nutritional challenges found in peat-reduced and peat-free growing media.

In addition to a section devoted to plant protection products and biostimulants, HSO 2021 will include a ‘knowledge hub’ where leading experts - from a range of fields - will share their knowledge. “Moving to an online format in 2020, enabled us to incorporate more workstations and reach a larger audience,” says Adam. “HSO 2021 will feature even more workstations and content-led by experts from ICL other organizations.

“Listening to feedback from last year’s event, we’re introducing new interactive features enabling participants to watch at their leisure and, as before, they will have the ability to gain CPD points.”

Full details of the topics to be covered will be released shortly. Meanwhile, growers can register at www.hort-science.com and receive regular updates.  https://youtu.be/-RkP-iNlV8U
