The food pantry in Oss, the Netherlands recently received a donation of special lettuce. The lettuce comes from a project by Patrick Bekkers who grows vegetables under solar panels.
In the coming years, the food bank will also receive sustainable vegetables. In addition to lettuce, the sustainability park also grows spinach, endive, and beans. In the future, owner Patrick Bekkers will also donate these vegetables to the food pantry if he has any leftovers.
More about the special project can be read here at Omroep Brabant.
