TSI Italia has created a greenhouse exhibition, digitized and accessible online, from pc and smartphone

Virtual open day to overcome Covid restrictions

To overcome the limitations linked to Covid, TSI Italia has created a remotely accessible showcase. There are over sixty varieties exhibited, each one with one or more videos, photos and texts that describe thoroughly and in detail their characteristics.

"This project was born from the need to continue to inform technicians, dealers, large-scale retail trade, but above all, producers with the latest news derived from the constant research in the field of varietal innovation," said Fabrizio Iurato, Marketing Manager of TSI Italia. "We didn't want to renounce to our role of providing information in horticulture. From the outside, we are seen as sales technicians of seed companies, more than for our role qualified consultants from the selection of the variety, to the phytopathologies, from commercial advice to technological innovation".

"Thanks to the Virtual Tour we are able provide visibility to all the farmers who this year, due to the restrictions imposed, were unable to attend in-person events, by visiting their farm. This way, we committed to both social distancing and reduced circulation of people".

"The Virtual Tour accurately reproduces a greenhouse transplanted in late September set up at the OP Platinum in Ragusa. You can visit it both from smartphones or tablets and from computers, and you can use a drop-down menu or by free navigation, a bit like we are used to do with Google Street View. Moving through and observing the plants and their fruits is easy and intuitive, really within everyone's reach, by accessing the following link: https://tsiitalia.com/virtual-tour/

In this way you can actually see much more detail than you would in a real visit, thanks to the lack of (albeit pleasant) distractions that you might have during an in-person visit. Unfortunately, the pandemic has taken away something those moments of conviviality and social interaction. However, we have adjusted to the restrictions, thanks also to technology.
