As part of the DuurSaam Glashelder project in greenhouse horticulture in Erica, Klazienaveen, Zuidbroek and Sappemeer, samples will be taken of the condensation water from ten CHPs in the coming weeks. The aim is to investigate whether the water is suitable for reuse as irrigation water.
The condensation water is analysed for the presence of - among other things - heavy metals and mineral oils. Step two in the process is to set up a crop to assess whether the water is suitable for it.
Greenhouse horticulture in Erica, Klazienaveen, Zuidbroek and Sappemeer failed to reduce the number of emissions to surface water last year. This is evident from a project report (NL) for 2020 of the DurSaam Glashelder measure program.
