The construction of the Delphy ISFC, the research location for soft fruit, is progressing well so far. The greenhouse has been constructed and the screens installed. In addition, the basic installation in the corridor and technical area for the installation of water, electricity, and heating systems has been prepared.
In the coming weeks, Delphy will start with the installation of heating, electricity, and water in the departments. Outside, the racks and rain covers have been built. The outdoor systems will be finished in the coming period.
This week, the first strawberry plants were also planted on the tabletop system. These are various trials with different breeding programs, plant types, and fundamental knowledge development around ever-bearers. This will include learning to understand the ever-bearer, variety optimization, and stabilizing the harvest pattern.
