Canadian Valley Growers partnered with Signify to install more than 1,500 Philips brand LED toplighting grow lights over their leafy green propagation and finished production areas. “With Philips LEDs we’ve experienced quicker crop times, heavier root mass heavier leaf mass, better color,” says Bill Brar, co-owner of Canadian Valley Growers.”
“We’ve started in butter lettuce and we’ve expanded it to multi-leaf and now we are expanding into the teen leaf. Crop time has been knocked down by almost 30% and the product coming out of propagation much, much more roots and really nice, stacked plant. The learning process has been fun. The results have been fantastic, support has been great; it has been a good experience.”
