Founder Jan Voshol launched construction of the new building for Voshol Warmte-Elektrotechniek at an easy-to-access location along the A12 in Waddinxveen. Voshol is building a facility in the ‘Distripark Doelwijk’ industrial area that is equipped for supplying horticultural materials to North America and includes loading docks and overhead cranes. Owners Wilco Voshol and Lennert Bredemeijer: "With this building that is focused on the future, we have all logistical processes in one place.”
Jan Voshol started the company in 1994 in a rental property in Bergschenhoek. At that time, the company was still focusing on the production and installation of heating systems for Dutch horticulture. In the meantime, Voshol Warmte-Elektrotechniek has developed into an international consultancy and design agency in the field of, among other things, guidance, climate control, and lighting of complete horticultural projects.
Since 2004, Voshol has built several sites in the smaller industrial area ‘De Hoefslag’ in Bleiswijk. But, as Wilco points out: “We are becoming too big, especially the number of international orders is increasing enormously.”
A lot of glass
"Because this is a new building, we can design everything so that we have everything in one place, based on the international experience we have gained in recent years,” says Wilco. “The new office will be spacious and will take into account the current coronavirus requirements. And of course, it is a pleasant working environment for all employees, so with lots of glass, a spacious roof terrace, and a private gym.”
Stream
Construction was officially inaugurated on Thursday, March 4, 2021 by Jan Voshol, who is still active within the company, he is responsible for international sales. Wilco Voshol and Lennert Bredemeijer: "With the new building Jan closes a chapter in Bleiswijk and we can start fresh in Waddinxveen.”
Because of the coronavirus measures, Voshol ensured that all employees of the company could follow the event through a Facebook stream. Lennert: "This way we are all ‘digitally' present.”
Voshol Warmte-Elektrotechniek builds the new facility entirely in-house. “With the current tight schedule, we will start in Waddinxveen in early January 2022.”
