Swapping painted pebbles for free vegetable seeds

Students from a school in Wokingham have been given vegetable seeds after a local garden centre agreed to exchange them for their painted pebbles. 

Pupils from the Floareat Montague Park Primary School in Wokingham took part in the event, decorating the pebbles taken from Squires Garden Centre in Wokingham. The pebbles, designed to look like different vegetables, were then swapped for free packets of vegetable seeds.

Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres said: “It was lovely to see the children’s beautiful creations which have been proudly displayed at each of our sixteen garden centres."
