San Antonio’s Fresh Texas acquires Austin Veggie Noodle Co. manufacturing plant

San Antonio’s Fresh From Texas LLC, which sells fruit and vegetable meal kits, announced it has acquired the Austin manufacturing plant of Veggie Noodle Co. Fresh From Texas said the acquisition marks a “multi-million-dollar expansion” for the company. The deal will increase Fresh Texas’ production capacity and allow for expansion into refrigerated, premium product lines of plant-based meal solutions.

Veggie Noodle does business as Cece’s Veggie Noodles. As part of the transaction, Fresh Texas will produce Cece’s “spiralized vegetables” at the Austin facility.

Fresh Texas expects to increase the workforce at the Austin plant, where 90 people are employed. Fresh Texas is majority-owned by San Antonio-based private equity firm Texas Next Capital.
