This is Qiangsheng Vegetable Hydroponics Base in Haimen Modern Agricultural Industry Demonstration Park, Jiangsu Province (China). According to the person in charge of the base, the batch of Romaine lettuce cultivated and planted on September 11 coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day In China. The products will mainly be supplied to high-end customers through the Dingdong platform, as well as local schools.
Qiangsheng Vegetable Hydroponics Base is an industrial integration project of the Haimen Provincial Modern Agricultural Industry Demonstration Park. Relying on the existing 0.67-hectare glass greenhouse, it will build the largest production hydroponics base in the region with a total investment of over 1 million RMB [153,000 USD]. The project adopts Israel’s advanced vegetable hydroponics technology, equipped with a complete circulation system, nutrient solution supply system and supply pipeline, control system, planting bed, planting tank, return purification system, and other hydroponic facilities and equipment. It is expected to produce 200,000 tons of vegetables per year, with a profit of over 1.2 million RMB [183,000 USD] per hectare. The completion and application of the project will greatly enhance the level of the vegetable industry in the region, promote large-scale vegetable planting in the park, and drive farmers in the demonstration park to increase their income.
